This project is a great example of our ability to turn our hand to different tasks and jobs, simplifying the renovation process for our clients. Far from just a conservatory installation, this project also involved structural work and building bespoke carpentry items.
Our customer was an interior designer, so she was looking for an elegant, creative space that complemented her style and allowed for plenty of creative flexibility.
The project involved the installation of a black aluminium conservatory and home renovation work to elevate the rest of the property and ensure consistent aesthetics.
The finished result is a simply stunning expansion of the existing space. The glazed conservatory panels bring in plenty of natural light while the carefully selected design features such as the flooring and finishes ensure that the extension is in keeping with the rest of the property’s architectural style.

Preparing the property
Before beginning this project, it was essential for our team to first prepare the property to ensure that the work carried out would be durable and structurally sound.
Before installing the conservatory, two walls were removed to allow for the renovation of the space. A rear structural wall leading into the garden was removed as was an internal stud wall to the kitchen area. Any damage was repaired to ensure structural integrity and a flawless finish.
Skilled in structural work, our team then installed a steel beam to add strength to the aluminium conservatory.
A sophisticated black aluminium conservatory
The cornerstone of this project was the installation of a sleek and elegant black aluminium conservatory.
A lightweight but durable material, aluminium offers sophisticated style with practicality. This glazed conservatory was complete with a parapet wall, dressed capping stones, and a steel wind post for stability.
The stonework used to face the inside of the blockwork was reclaimed from the previous demolition of the rear wall, meaning that we could reincorporate original stonework to maintain the existing aesthetics of the home. The conservatory was finished with RAL 9005 Jet Black matt colour for a striking contemporary look that contrasts beautifully with the rustic stonework.
To enhance the practicality of the space, we included solar controlled glass in the glazed panels. The glass used was also low-E glass, ensuring that the conservatory will remain comfortable throughout the seasons for years to come.
Underfloor heating and stylish oak flooring
A crucial element of this creative space was the flooring. We first screed the floor with a wet underfloor heating system. This will ensure a unobtrusive form of heating that will allow the homeowner complete flexibility in terms of interior design and style.
Oak flooring in a sophisticated herringbone design was then installed on top for a stunning finish.
Home and kitchen renovation
Our skilled team completed the project with the addition of several home improvements. We removed dado rails, coving, several internal doors and also boarded up two doorways.
Experts in a variety of tasks, our team built bespoke carpentry items using MDF. This included understairs cupboards, shelving, and wardrobes. We also installed 8 new standard internal doors and fitted a new loft hatch with ladder.
